Mind body medicine has been around for centuries in the form of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic Medicine. Both cultures believed that the thoughts and emotions had an effect on the body and its physical health this is called the mind body connection i.e. rather than the western perspective of two separate systems, looking at the two as one system working in harmony for perfect health.
